A comprehensive range of soft cotton ropes

As a leading supplier we stock a variety of braided or twisted Cotton Ropes with something to suit most requirements. These include:

    1. Braided Cotton cord

Made by us with an unbleached cotton outer and core. Our cotton cords are sold either by the metre or on 250/500m reels in three popular diameters: 3mm, 4mm and 4.5mm.

    1. Cotton rope

Our twisted Cotton ropes can be purchased by the metre (maximum continuous length 220m) or on reels measuring 40m to 220m. Choose from a wide range of diameters ranging from 4mm to 32mm (diameters 16mm and above are made in Europe). All our Cotton ropes are 100% natural and are available undyed (natural) or in a range of vibrant colours.

    1. Firm lay Cotton rope

These 100% Cotton ropes are made with a firm lay - making them stiffer - by an artisan UK business using a traditional rope walk.

Firm lay Cotton rope is supplied in 24m coils in a range of colours, including natural, optic white, red, and black. 6mm-12mm ropes are available as standard, although it is possible to request any diameter up to a maximum of 36mm.

    1. Magician’s rope

This is a recent addition to our cotton rope collection. Our Magician’s cord is manufactured from a luxurious cotton-acrylic blend, with a flexible hollow core. 6mm and 12mm diameters are available. Both are sold by the metre or on 100m reels, in various eye-catching colours.

All our Cotton ropes and cords are made from spun cotton fibres which means they can easily be coloured with dye. They’re soft and comfortable to handle, and thanks to their first-class construction, will last a long time. As a purely online retailer, we’re able to supply them to you at an affordable and competitive price, with fast delivery.

What can Cotton Rope be used for?

Thanks to its soft, flexible and lightweight construction, Cotton rope has excellent handling qualities and knot stability, and lends itself well to a range of ‘light load’ indoor applications and decorative and handicraft projects.

For example, Cotton ropes and cords are most commonly used in macrame, to create a wide range of home décor items and fashion accessories. Other popular uses include circus work, magic tricks, bird and pet toys, and animal halters.

Cotton rope demonstrates very low tensile strength and poor resistance to water and rot. Therefore, it’s not the best option for heavy-duty or outdoor applications.
